Self Employed!
I'm returning to self-employment after a year on the job :)
Important news this month! - I've returned to self-employment again, or rather i'm in the process of doing so!
I've been wanting to branch out on my own again now for quite some time, and I figured there was no point in waiting for the right time to do it, so I handed my notice in at work and as of the 8th July 2008 I will be full-time freelance once again. and I can't wait!
In addition to this, i've begun the process of registering a limited company known as SWOO to conduct my day to day business under a brand (instead of my name). Hopefully this will result in plenty of work from companies who are sometimes a little bit worried about using a freelancer, having been burned in the past.
It's a decision i've not taken lightly, as I'm leaving a well paid and secure job which I thoroughly enjoy but there's always a nagging feeling in my stomach that i'd like to work for my own benefit and satisfaction rather than someone elses so while i'll miss working with the likes of Leon and Mark (who are awesome at their jobs), i'm happy to be cutting the chains of a 9-5 job and seeking exciting new challenges of my own. Best of luck to them though, the project is awesome because of their hard work.
So - i'm looking for clients, and the work they may bring! Wish me luck!
