Project Case Study
The Brief
I was approached by Cathedral Training to produce a lightweight content managed website for their startup training business.
The main purpose of the website was to display curriculum information for all of their online courses in an attractive manner.
The Solution
I was proud to support the launch of Cathedral Training Ltd in 2013 by providing them with a beautiful new website from which to offer their online training materials.
A fully bespoke design, the website is built using ASP.NET MVC and is fully content managed, allowing staff to update documents and training materials using a secure backend management system.
Online Booking System
In 2018 I provided the client with a fully bespoke booking system for their courses. Utilising the course data that was already entered in the content management system, I built new functionality which allowed setting up a calendar of available sessions for each course, each of which was able to be purchased via the front-end website. The payment process is handled by WorldPay using their instant payment notification system to provide order details and e-mail receipts to the customer at the time of purchase - any bookings are then deducted from the availability of the course in question automatically, ensuring that it cannot be overbooked.
The website has been a huge success in its first year, helping the company go from strength to strength and I look forward to working with Cathedral Training as they grow into North Lincolnshire's premier training provider.
